We invite members of the Class of 1970 and one guest to come to campus, Thursday, May 14 for a luncheon. In addition, you will have the honor to lead the academic procession into the 2020 Commencement ceremony. This is an annual tradition that began with the first class to celebrate their own 50th reunion, the Class of 1948.
The day will begin with a reception and luncheon at 12:00 p.m. for all Golden Alumni (alumni who graduated 50 or more years ago). During the luncheon, we will have a small ceremony to present your class with 50th anniversary certificates. We will also acknowledge our classes celebrating five-year interval reunions including 1965, 1960, 1955 and 1950.
Following the luncheon, the reception continues with time to catch up with classmates and friends. If members of the class are interested, we will offer a tour of campus. Please indicate your interest on your registration.
At 3:45 p.m. a shuttle will take members of the class, who are interested in participating in the Commencement ceremony, over to the Westchester County Center. At the ceremony, members of the Class of 1970 will wear gold robes and lead the procession into the arena. The class will be recognized during the ceremony, and we will leave just before the names of all the graduates are called. A shuttle will then return you to campus to your cars. We should arrive back to campus at about 7:00 p.m.
